Guest Rooms
We have five unique guest rooms, each filled with antiques, and all with queen bed, private bath and view of the lake. The Country room, in addition to the queen bed, also has a twin bed, and the Suite also features a full size futon. The Carriage House is a small house on the property that can accommodate up to six people and can be rented by the week or for shorter stays. We invite you to take a look at them.

The Lakeview Room
This inviting room, located in the older, front part of the house is decorated in the Federal style with casual elegance. Four large windows look out on Mariaville Lake and catch the morning sun. This air conditioned room features an antique mahogany queen sized bed, marble fireplace, large tiled bathroom with shower, and a sitting area. The old paneled door with a skeleton key adds to its charm. ($189)

The Vineyard Room
Our most romantic room, the Vineyard is soothing in lavender, white, silver and green. Located in the original part of the house with hardwood floors, queen sized bed, antique mahogany desk and a skeleton key for the door, its a step into the simple luxury of the past. Two large windows facing east, with filmy white window treatments accented with a grapevine afford a wonderful view of the lake.
As the shadows lengthen, the room has an intimate atmosphere, and a unique rounded wall adds to its pure beauty. The room is air conditioned. Full bath with shower. ($159)

The Colonial Room
Done in colonial blue, antique white, and paneling, the Colonial Room has a queen bed and views of the lake and backyard. Decorated in toile and plaid this former summer porch has a colonial feel that is light filled and comfortable. Wall to wall carpeting, air conditioning, desk, and a spacious tiled bathroom with shower make quiet, convenient accommodations for the business traveler or the work weary vacationer. ($139)

The Country Room
The Country Room is done in lemon and fern with lots of light. Our most spacious room has a view of the lake and overlooks our lawns. This private, inviting room features a queen bed, antique mahogany twin bed, sitting area with satellite TV, and mini fridge. Full tiled bath with shower. Maximum Occupancy: 3. ($179 double occupancy. $25 for third adult or $15 for child under 18)

The Suite
Our two room Suite is located in the back of the house with a private entrance and private parking. It's bathed in shades of ocean blue with wall to wall carpeting and cathedral ceilings. The living area features a full sized futon, satellite TV, mini fridge, sink, and coffee maker. The bedroom has a queen bed and an adjoining full bath. Perfect for two couples or a family of four. ($229 for a couple, each additional person under 18 years old is $15, each additional adult is $25.)

The Carriage House
The Carriage House is a fully furnished cottage located on Mariaville Lake in Western Schenectady County. This 200-acre private lake offers privacy and tranquility. In the warmer months, the fishing is great, especially from our rowboat. You can also explore the lake in our canoe or kayaks. Swimming is right from the dock. In the colder months, enjoy ice fishing, ice skating and cross-country skiing on the trails right from the front door. Use our snow shoes and explore the area or spend the day skiing at one of the nearby down hill ski resorts and come back to enjoy the warmth of the fire.
The front of the house with its southern exposure boasts a deck as well as an upstairs balcony both facing the lake, fitted with chairs for your exclusive use, and plenty of lawn to run around in.
The first floor is one large room with living room, dining area and kitchen. The kitchen is fully functional with dishes and utensils, electric stove, full sized refrigerator, microwave oven, toaster, and coffee maker. Satellite TV with video and DVD player are provided.
The air conditioned upstairs has two bedrooms, one with a queen and a twin bed, the other with two twin beds. A door leads onto the upstairs balcony with gorgeous views. The full bath has a shower as well as a claw foot tub.
The Carriage House is available with breakfast and housekeeping for two persons at $795 two nights, $1095 for three nights. Each additional person under 18 years old is $15, each additional adult is $25 per night. Up to six people can be accommodated. Call for longer stays.
The Carriage House can also be rented by the week without breakfast and housekeeping. Rates for the Carriage House for up to four persons is $1395 a week. Includes all linens and towels. Rates and Policies
We are open year round, so we don't have charts with confusing dates and rates.
Included in your rate is a full breakfast, and use of our common rooms, dock, canoe, kayaks, rowboat and hiking trails. We welcome well-behaved children. Pets are not allowed. Our bed and breakfast is non-smoking.
Check in time is between 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM. unless other arrangements are made. We plan our day around your arrival time so please call us from the road if you need directions or your arrival time changes. Check out time is 11:00 AM.
Please let us know of any food restrictions or allergies BEFORE you arrive. We cannot accommodate special needs if you tell us as we are about to serve breakfast.
While accidents do happen, guests will be financially responsible for damage due to gross negligence.
Cancellation Policy
A deposit of 50% is required by credit card or check in advance of your stay and will be refunded by check if notice of cancellation is received more than 14 days in advance of your stay minus a $25 cancellation fee per room. If notice is fewer than 14 days, your deposit is refundable only if we can rebook the room. If we cannot rebook the room, you are responsible for the full amount. There is a 2 night minimum on certain week-ends. Call for details. For stays longer than 2 nights, call for cancellation policy.
Cancellation Policy for Special Events: (Union College week-ends, ILCC events, full house bookings, etc.)
A 50% deposit is required by credit card or check and will be processed upon making the reservation. 30 days prior to your stay, the balance will be processed. Notify us of cancellation with more than 30 days notice, and we will refund your deposit by check, minus a $50 processing fee per room, only if we can rebook the room. No refunds if canceled fewer than 30 days before the event.
Cancellation Policy for Carriage House and Lake House
A deposit of 50% is required by credit card or check upon making the reservation. Should you cancel and we are able to rebook, we will refund your deposit minus 10 % of the full amount by check. Otherwise, the deposit is non-refundable. If you cancel fewer than 14 days, you are responsible for the full amount unless we can rebook the house.
